It’s just 4 days until The Company of the Mad: The Stand Podcast premieres! As part of our countdown to the big day, we’re giving you a spotlight on one of our panelists each day, letting you know more about Mike, Tananarive, Anthony, and myself. Hopefully, you’ll feel like we’re all old friends by the time the episode lands on Friday!
Today, we’d like you to meet one of the panelists who will be on all 6 episodes of our limited podcast series.
Mike Flanagan is the writer/director of such Stephen King adaptations as Doctor Sleep and Gerald’s Game, as well as Netflix’s hit series The Haunting of Hill House. He is currently writing a screenplay adaptation for King’s novel, Revival, while finishing production on Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor, a standalone follow up to Hill House.
I love this video with Stephen King and Mike Flanagan on the set of Doctor Sleep where Flanagan discusses how he became a Constant Reader from a very young age, and how reading Stephen King’s work made him feel more empowered and brave.
It is an absolute honor to have Mike Flanagan joining our distinguished panel of guests each month to discuss The Stand. In the first episode, premiering this Friday, May 29, we will discuss chapters 1-24.
